Founded in 2008, STATSports empowers teams at every level — from grassroots to elite — with precision technology, real-time insights, and world-class support.

Trusted by the world’s top clubs, national teams, and leagues, STATSports is dedicated to maximizing performance, reducing injury risk, and advancing athlete development globally.

## The Beginning

STATSports was founded in 2008 by Alan Clarke and Sean O’Connor in Newry, Northern Ireland.
They identified a gap in the sports industry for accurate, real-time athlete tracking technology that could help coaches, sports scientists, and players make better performance decisions.

Their vision was simple but ambitious: Create the world’s leading athlete monitoring solutions based on precision, reliability, and innovation.

## Early Growth

From the beginning, STATSports' technology — combining GPS tracking, inertial sensors, and real-time data — set a new standard for performance monitoring in elite sport.

Early adopters included top European football clubs, rugby teams, and national federations.

By focusing on elite-level accuracy and user-friendly software, STATSports quickly earned the trust of some of the world’s biggest and most demanding teams.
