MAPPS TECHNOLOGY
STATSports brand new, patented MAPPS (Multiple Augmented Performance Positional System) Technology is a combination of 18Hz augmented GPS, further refined utilising Ultra Wideband positional beacons.
ON BOARD METRIC CALCULATIONS
Using a highly optimised and powerful embedded processor, Apex has the capability to calculate over 50 metrics in real time on the device. This capability allows STATSports to provide the most precise live metric data in the industry, data that accurately matches post-session download.
Apex samples its core data sensors at the highest possible sample rates and feeds this data into the on-board metric calculation engine to generate real time metric results. All calculation takes place on-board the device with the resultant metrics transmitted live over our UWB network. Should an Apex go out of UWB range for any period, then metric data is not lost. Apex continues to calculate metrics while out of range and when the Apex returns back into range, the receiver will gather the updated metric values.

Bluetooth LE
STATSports Apex utilises the latest Bluetooth LE to connect with multiple devices at any one time including; heart rate sensors, EMG shorts, smart watches and tablet devices.
